Pakistan has an unbeaten record of 8-0 against Sri Lanka in the World Cup.

Sri Lanka scored 344 runs on a batsman-friendly pitch, mostly courtesy of centuries from Kusal Mendis and Sadira Samarawickrama.

Pakistan, however, competed hard, made a big comeback and ultimately achieved a memorable victory.

Babar Azam, Pakistani Captain, has given full credit to the boys, especially Abdullah and Rizwan, for the pressure they put on Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan team captain Dasun Shanaka has praised Kusal Mendis for his brilliant innings and also the bowlers for their performance.
